Getting to Broadbottom by Train

Lymefield Outdoor Learning Centre is a short walk (10 Minutes) from Broadbottom train station. Upon leaving the train station, walk down the hill, past the Harewood Arms, under the railway bridge until you see a sign on the right for ‘Lymefield Garden Centre’. Follow the sign down the hill and you will see the Outdoor Learning Centre on the left.

There is generally a half-hourly daily service from Manchester Piccadilly and Glossop/Hadfield. Trains operate hourly evenings and Sundays in each direction. For complete information on Broadbottom train station, please click here.

Getting to Broadbottom by Bus

The 202 Glossop to Hyde and the 842   Gamesley to Hollingworth both run via Broadbottom.

The  bus stops are located on the main road very close to LOLC. You will see a sign for ‘Lymefield Garden Centre’. Follow the sign down the hill and you will see the Outdoor Learning Centre on the left.

Getting to Broadbottom by Car

Broadbottom is located at the end of the M67. After exiting the M67, drive through Mottram until you reach Broadbottom. Drive past the train station on the right, continue down the hill, past the Harewood Arms, under the railway bridge until you see a sign on the right for ‘Lymefield Garden Centre’. Follow the sign down the hill  and you will see the Outdoor Learning Centre on the left. There is a car park adjacent to LOLC, alternatively there are lots of places to park around the village.
