Little Grasshoppers re-starts on Monday 3rd October 9.30-11am

This Forest school project is based in the grounds of Lymefield Outdoor Learning Centre. We aim to get you and your “Grasshopper” out and enjoying the amazing outdoors in all its glory, using all your senses to fully experience this wonderful woodland, gaining confidence and knowledge of flora and fauna identification and most of all have fun!

We will be exploring, building dens (large and small), playing games and singing songs, making new friends, using natural materials to create beautiful items to take home and not forgetting snack time around a campfire.

There is no such thing as bad weather only the wrong clothing!

We will be outside and will run during term-time throughout the year so please dress your Little Grasshopper in clothes that you don’t mind them getting dirty, long sleeved tops and trousers protect little arms and legs (and long ones) from scratches and stings from the undergrowth and nettles. Wellies are great for keeping feet dry but hold no warmth, a thin pair of socks and a thermal pair will keep little feet cosy. Waterproofs are fantastic keeping the wind and the wet out. In winter and chilly days layering keeps in the warmth and hats and gloves are a must.

Please be aware that you are responsible for your child during the session. Please bring with you any personal care requirements your child may need. We have access to the toilets in the centre but please respect work that is displayed within the centre.
